TOOL 01

Barbell Plate Calculator

Loading 142.5kg or 315lbs onto a barbell can cause unnecessary mental hesitation when fatigue sets in. The plate calculator visually illustrates exactly which discs go on each sleeve:

  • ✓ Supports 20kg (men's Olympic) and 15kg (women's Olympic) barbells
  • ✓ Configurable standard plates (25kg, 20kg, 15kg, 10kg, 5kg, 2.5kg, 1.25kg)
  • ✓ Instant visual diagram showing order of placement from collar to tip
Example: 140kg Barbell Load (20kg Bar)
Per Sleeve:2×25kg + 1×10kg (60kg per side)
1RM Estimate Example
Input Set:100kg × 8 reps
Estimated 1RM:~124.0 kg
90% 1RM (~3 reps):111.6 kg
80% 1RM (~8 reps):99.2 kg
TOOL 02

One-Rep Max (1RM) Estimator

Testing a true 1RM can cause extreme fatigue and injury risk. GF Track uses proven mathematical models to project your single-rep capacity from heavy working sets.

  • ✓ Calculates estimated 1RM using Epley & Brzycki formulas
  • ✓ Automatically breaks down target percentages (70%, 80%, 85%, 90%)
  • ✓ Perfect for periodization programs and wave loading
TOOL 03

Smart Rest Interval Countdown

Rest periods are crucial: too short reduces power output on the next set; too long cools down the nervous system and wastes time. GF Track keeps training tempo sharp.

  • ✓ Configurable rest durations (30s, 60s, 90s, 120s, 180s, 300s)
  • ✓ Exercise-specific default timer presets
  • ✓ Discreet audible chime and haptic buzz upon completion

Workout Tools FAQ

How does the barbell plate calculator work?

Select your target total weight (e.g. 100kg) and your bar weight (standard 20kg or 15kg). The calculator immediately illustrates which plates (25kg, 20kg, 15kg, 10kg, 5kg, 2.5kg, 1.25kg) to slide onto each side of the bar.

How does the 1RM calculator estimate my maximum?

It calculates your estimated one-rep maximum using standard strength formulas (such as Epley and Brzycki) based on the weight and clean repetitions you completed on a submaximal working set.

Do rest alerts work when my phone screen is locked or on silent?

Yes. The app triggers vibration and audio alerts so you can keep your phone in your pocket or nearby without watching the clock.
